CAN-HELPER Counseling Helpline Cancer patients and their families & Can-Helper, a toll-free helpline to provide emotional support to deal with fear, anxiety and stress related to cancer. Can-Helper is launched by Baankey Bihari Society Care.
Baankey Bihari Socity Fund is a flagship project which provides financial aid for treatment to underprivileged cancer patients. Many cancers are treatable, if detected early and treated in time. However, many cancer patients in India are not able to afford the treatment costs and therefore do not survive the disease.
This program is implemented at a pan India level and we are pleased to report that 65% of the beneficiaries are between 10-45 yrs. of age.
Patient s eligibility criteria:
Patient should be treated at ICS empanelled hospital only.
Patients should be registered under general category
Projected survival rate 50% for adult patients and 70% for pediatric patients
Only for Indian citizens
Treatment protocol covered:
Chemotherapy
Radiation
Surgery
Supportive care
Prosthesis

Help a poor patient fight cancer
Socity works with poor cancer patients in villages around India. In the villages, it is difficult for patients to come over to the hospital of CAM due to lack of transportation.
